Greetings From The Keene Kiwanians

Kiwanis is an international service organization focused primarily on helping children.  We, in the Kiwanis Club of Keene, focus most of our efforts on our local youth here in Cheshire County. We fund our efforts by raising money through community events, our annual Car Show, a yearly yard sale and our annual fund raising campaign with local businesses.

We then reinvest much of these funds into local youth groups at Keene State College, MRHS, KHS, St. Joseph School and the Surry Village Charter School.  Every year, we award scholarships to a member of the Circle K Club at KSC, and to a graduating senior Key Clubber from each high school. We also award grants and camperships to many youth oriented organizations in the Monadnock Region.  As part of our Community Service, we give hundreds of free bicycle safety helmets to hundreds of children at our Kool Wheels bike safety event in early May.  And, in collaboration with the city, we sponsor and produce the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Central Square in late November.

We work hard for the youth of this area. But we also have fun and laugh a lot.  We meet every Wednesday morning at  7:30-8:30  am at the Pub Restaurant on Winchester Street. Come to a meeting as our breakfast guest, and see what we are all about.  You’ll enjoy hearing our speaker, laugh at our jokes, and have a good time.  And we would love to meet you.

Sincerely,
Paul Bothwell, President
